Michael’s struggle with alcohol and drugs began at the tender age of 12, and he remained a functional alcoholic throughout a 30-year professional career. Father to two adult children, Michael’s life took a transformative turn 18 years ago following a profound spiritual experience. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his journey to sobriety. Michael immersed himself in 12 step recovery programs, harnessing the principles of organizations like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and participated as a contributor in structured rehabilitation programs that emphasized holistic recovery—addressing the mind, body, and spirit. He believes and lives a spiritual program of action.
